After many activities and campaigns carried out together, training sessions and cultural caravans, we are fast approaching the end of our project, "We can do more together".On this occasion, we want to tell you more about two activities dear to us, which have proven to us that the message of inclusion and diversity can be spread in any context, namely the "Football Friendship Cup" and the campaigns of greening and planting of fruit trees in all 20 communities in the 5 counties where we have worked together with our partners.
In the "Friendship Cup at Football" students from all backgrounds were united by a common passion and purpose. They were able to take part in the pre-match discussions about the importance of inclusion, empowerment of all community members and the promotion of diversity. The students learned that only by working as a team can they reach the desired result. This activity was aimed at increasing the self-esteem of children by valuing sports skills, as well as those of working in a team. Thus, at the end of this activity, the participants realized that the differences must be cherished because they make them better and working together can bring something extra to the team, class or community and help develop that collective.
The second series of activities that we want to talk to you about today are the campaigns of greening and planting of fruit trees that represented another context that brought the students together for a common purpose. In our mission to plant 300 fruit trees, we have reached, through our partners, all 20 localities where children equipped with gloves, tools and good cheer, have been directly involved and have taken a first step towards protecting the environment. Teamwork and fun were always present for the students. They also participated in discussions about the ways in which housekeeping can be selectively collected, what are the dangers of littering on the street or in green areas, and what changes we can implement at the level of our household.
Such community actions are important because only through cooperation without discrimination we can ensure a sustainable and environmentally friendly future.
We can’t wait to see the first results at the local level as a result of these actions, opportunity through which we would like to thank all those who participated as well as our partners, without whom these projects would not have been possible.
