Between 21st and 24th of July we met in Iasi with 20 girls from the counties of Buzău, Brăila, Brașov, Botoșani and Iași for four days of mentoring workshops in the art of vlogging and blogging.
The girls were guided these days by Ana Maria Ciobanu, reporter Than a Magazine, and Emil Nepot, TikTok influencer, who shared a little of their work with them, but also supported them in building their own stories.
There were four days in which we talked about identity, about the community, about the tradition of the Ten Sticks Fanfare, about what it means to be a Roma woman, today, what you get to discover about yourself when you first meet places that talk about the history of your ancestors, but also with young people who seem to come from different worlds. but I live and feel with you. And especially what stories you get to collect and write about yourself and the world with that.
During these days, the girls found out what the documentation process meant, before writing a story, took interviews, were vulnerable both in their ranks and with each other, and created the first stories on TikTok.
We promise that what happened in Iasi will not remain only in Iasi. A period of story collection awaits us and we will soon return with the rows that have come out of the hands of the girls – who, you will have to take our word for it, can also move mountains if they put their minds in mind.
