The Community Development Agency „Împreună” is currently implementing the following projects:
Knowing the (r)oma beside us
The project „Knowing the (r)oma beside us” aims to raise awareness on human rights and equal treatment, with a focus on the Roma minority.
The project benefits from a financing of 141,473 euros through the Active Citizens Fund Romania program, funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grants 2014-2021.
Advocacy for an inclusive university education
The project „Advocacy for an inclusive university education„ aims to reduce the educational gaps between Roma and the majority population at the level of university education in Romania and to improve the policy of the affirmative measure of allocating distinct places for Roma in universities. The project is carried out in partnership with the University of Bucharest, the university that initiated the affirmative measure of allocating distinct places for Roma in universities and which has a relatively large number of Roma students.
The project benefits from a financing of 144,150 euros, through the Active Citizens Fund Romania program, funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grants 2014-2021.
We are no different. Together we can change our community
The project „We are no different. Together we can change our community” aims to increase the capacity of vulnerable groups in eight interethnic rural communities in Romania, for a period of 18 months, but also to form active voices to put on the authorities’ agenda the needs of disadvantaged groups.
The project benefits from a financing of 149,977.00 euros, through the Active Citizens Fund Romania program, funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grants 2014-2021.
Together for an inclusive school
The project „Together for an inclusive school” aims to increase the level of access to quality inclusive education within five schools located in marginalized communities and exposed to social exclusion in Ilfov County. The project has a student-centered approach, meeting their needs such as: the need to have interactive classes, to be valued and encouraged, to feel safe at school, to get involved and consulted, the need for a healthy relationship between teachers – students – parents.

Capacitating and empowering Roma through lobbying and action
The project „Capacitating and Empowering Roma through Lobbying and Action” aims to increase the empowerment of vulnerable groups from 12 interethnic rural communities in Călărași, Brăila and Constanța counties.
The project is carried out by the Foundation of Community Development Agency „Împreună” in partnership with the Roma Center for Health Policies – SASTIPEN and the Center for Education and Human Rights Association – ACEDO and benefits from a funding of 223 964 euros, through the Active Citizens Fund Romania program, funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grants 2014-2021.
We can do more together
The objective of the project „We can do more together!” is to support the empowerment of 2200 Roma at a national level.
The project benefits from a grant of €897,454 provided by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through EEA Grants under the Local Development Programme.
