„Împreună” Agency for Community Development, the Policy Center for Roma and Minorities and the Resources Center for Public Participation launched this Wednesday, 29 October 2014, the project called Roma Social Inclusion Network – Competences and Advocacy, financed by SEE 2009-2014 within the NGO Fund Romania – 5th Component – Capacity Development of NGOs; Networks and Coalitions, financed with 150.000 Euro.

„Împreună” Agency and its partners` goal is to capacitate small and medium grass root organizations, which work in the social inclusion field in order to access funds and implement advocacy campaigns for prioritizing the Roma communities problems and introduce them on the public agenda of local authorities.  

 The project aims to consolidate the institutional and operational capacity of 15 NGOs who are preoccupied with the Roma communities’ current situation and the development and cooperation within them, in order to articulate and common strategy on the long term and also to develop their expertise regarding the procedures of accessing funds, project managing, funds managing and implementation of advocacy campaigns.

 Public Local Authorities participated to the event, along with representatives of civil society and Bucharest embassies. During the event were announced the preliminary results of the NGO sector analysis following an extensive research who’s goal was to show a general imagine of the civil society development in the Roma social inclusion field, to measure the level of organizational development of the active NGO’s who focus on Roma and non-roma related issues and also to identify the general types of needs regarding their organizational capacity.

 Also, during the event were announced the final organizations that will be a part of the project.
